
The challenges we focus on…
Awareness of the need to consciously address our health and fitness is at an all time high, yet our level of physical activity is woefully low. The Australian Bureau of Statistics states that in 2021, only 27.2% of people aged 15 years and over met the physical activity guidelines. Behavioural change is personal – only I can actually do it for myself – but our environment and the availability of accessible services to help us is critical.
This is a challenge we all face, but we continually witness the extra barriers that people experiencing addiction and life-changing mental health challenges face. Integrating into the community whilst recovering can be daunting. Financial constraints are often prevalent, finding employment or other development opportunities is difficult, and individual confidence is often low. People in this situation hold a special place in our hearts and are the primary recipients of our support and profit reinvestment.
